I do think Yi will flourish in New Jersey once King James takes makes his move there. He was just never happy in Milwaukee and it showed. So for the Bucks, this was something they had to do. I've never been a fan of RJ though and I think his presence condemns the Bucks to mediocrity for another 10 years at least.

Interesting that the Nets are still saying Yi is 20 years old.

Since October 1, 2007, 5.1% of Bratwurst visitors have come from China. I did have several posts translated into Chinese and posted on message boards there (which I'm sure got a ton of viewers), but that all happened early in the season.

I mentioned that fact a few weeks ago -- I think that fewer Chinese visitors (and fewer translated posts) is an indicator that people in China were already losing interest in Yi as he struggled so much.

All in all I do think this is a good deal. However, I think your judgement of Yi Jianlin was a bit harsh. Dirk Nowitzki has proven that seven footers with little quickness and beautiful jumpers can do well in this league and if you remember, Dirk had a poor rookie season. Now Yi is no Dirk, but it is far to early to say he will never be a productive player.

This is a great deal for the Bucks basketball-wise, but... how badly are they going to be hurt by the drop in potential Chinese viewership and advertising? Also, I'd imagine The Bratwurst is now going to see about a 30% drop in readership with the massive following Chairman Yi takes with him.

Now the Bucks should do their best to work over the T-Wolves for the #3 pick in some awful trade that McHale would be happy to absorb.
