In the New York Daily News, Frank Isola is reporting that Scott Skiles will be unlikely to be a candidate for the next New York Knicks coaching job, because he is likely to alerady be taken:
According to a source close to the former Chicago Bulls head coach, Skiles is already in talks with another team – believed to be the Milwaukee Bucks – and could have a deal in place by next week.
Honestly, I think I’d be a little more excited about Rick Carlisle than Skiles, but either one would be a good option for this team. Skiles is a “my way or the highway” sort who immediately turned around the Bulls from his first game with the team.
While the young Bulls team that Skiles inherited didn’t win all that much at the beginning, Skiles immediately turned them into something worth watching, and a team that improved every year until circumstances beyond Skiles’ control pulled them apart this season.
These circumstances include Paxson’s drafting of a completely immature Tyrus Thomas over LaMarcus Aldridge, and the contract hassles surrounding Ben Gordon and Luol Deng. The Bulls never did get a post game, and this limited their ceiling as a team.
Welcome Scott Skiles. He turned the Bulls into an improving team that was worth paying to see. Hopefully he does the same for the Bucks right away.

I hope this is wrong. I think Carlise is the better fit.
