By now you have probably heard me referring to IPM, my proprietary statistical NBA player ranking system. While my previous links to the data were pretty cumbersome to use, we now have a new, simpler list of links that will make IPM rankings much more convenient for you to see them.
On the lower right of the front page of The Bratwurst is a series of links under the heading “IPM Data”. These will take you to the most recent player list (sorted by team and by position) and the team power rankings. The data will be updated once or twice a week as the season progresses.
Another link will take you to the 2006-07 season results, which includes the defensive component (which, unfortunately, cannot currently be updated in-season. We are working on that.) and there is also a link to a short document, “What Is IPM?” that explains the methodology, goals, and limitations of a statistical ranking system such as this.
