When the Bucks drafted Yi Jianlian my immediate reaction was to say that the influx of money and interest that will come from Yi’s presence may actually result in keeping the Bucks in Milwaukee. Well, the interest is there — hopefully the money will follow.
The Bucks-Bulls game was Yi’s first game televised in China, and China Daily put the ratings at 100 million viewers.
And the Orlando Sentinel has a story about the interest this Friday’s Bucks-Rockets game is garnering from the Chinese media:
Already more national TV appearances scheduled in China than the Bucks will see in the US this season. Good to see the Yi pick working out so well so far.
