Michael Hunt has a piece up in the Journal Sentinel about the odds of Mo Williams coming back next year. Personally, I think the Bucks need to bring him back. They need to establish some kind of consistency, it seems as if the past few years they’ve been retooling every year (adding Bogut, Ford’s injury, Magloire, trading Ray Allen, yada, yada). Keeping Mo Williams would keep a player who likes Milwaukee, is liked by Milwaukee, plays hard, and isn’t a head case in the locker room.
Despite the short-comings in Mo’s game, I think he’s a keeper. You won’t find anyone better than him this off-season (I’m ruling out Billups, he’s not coming to Milwaukee). Mo is still going to get better, and part of that will come from having a healthy starting five next year and hopefully a better inside presence on defense.
