The Streak is Over

December 29th, 2006 by Jeramey Jannene · No Comments

The winning streak has been snapped at 6, but the home winning streak is still alive.

They came roaring back against the Cavaliers tonight thanks in large part due to the persistent hustle of Ruben Patterson, but ultimately couldn’t close out the game.  Redd definitely wasn’t shooting well tonight.

Should be interesting to see how the Bucks manage to control Gilbert Arenas tomorrow night.

Donyell Marshall = Reggie Miller

December 29th, 2006 by Jeramey Jannene · No Comments

Donyell Marshall seems to always torch the Bucks, much like good ol’ Reggie Miller used to.  I don’t get it.

He’s hit 7 three pointers tonight for the Cavaliers and the game isn’t even over.

Bucks Winners of Six Straight

December 27th, 2006 by Jeramey Jannene · No Comments

Don’t change your underwear, we’re on a winning streak!  The Bucks trounced on the lowly Grizzlies tonight and are winners of six straight.

Sad fact is we’re still in last place in the Central Division.  Getting closer to inching up though.

Don’t look now, but if the Bucks win tonight they’re at .500 again.

Michael Redd on Defense

December 22nd, 2006 by Jeramey Jannene · 1 Comment

Someone needs to tell Michael Redd that after a missed shot or a no-call that he stills needs to get back on defense.  He’s really bad at that and it drives me up a wall.

Convincing Win?

December 21st, 2006 by Jeramey Jannene · No Comments

The Bucks poured on the points and took the fire right out of the heat last night in the second half.

Not only was this a convincing win, but it was a convincing win at home.  The Bucks have a home winning streak of five games!  That’s a stat that is going to matter as the season continues, can the Bucks continue to win at home?

This was the kind of win the Bucks needed to get fans behind them and perhaps get some confidence in themselves.

Terry Stotts

December 20th, 2006 by Jeramey Jannene · 1 Comment

I’m watching the Bucks vs Heat game right now and something just came to my attention.  Has Terry Stotts ever had a technical foul called on him?  Has he ever ran out onto the court to protest a call?  Has he ever thrown anything?

If the man wants to earn some respect (and god I hope he realizes he needs some), he should get a tech for doing something insane.  If he were to say throw a chair at Michael Redd for dribbling too much in the fourth quarter, everyone would do exactly what he said.

Bucks Attendance Dropping - Like Duh

December 18th, 2006 by Jeramey Jannene · No Comments

According to Journal Sentinel writer Don Walker, attendance at Milwaukee Bucks home games is down 7.9 percent from this point last year.

Let me tell you something, that’s not a surprise!  If you can’t close out close games people aren’t going to want to come see your product.

Fire Terry Stotts, that would generate some attention.

On the flip side, after causing me a near heart attack on Friday by blowing a very win-able game to the Chicago Bulls, the Bucks came back and beat the Timberwolves at home on Saturday night.

They need to start beating Central Division teams if they want to have a shot at the playoffs down the stretch.  That starts with changing how they play the fourth quarter and closing out games.

Bucks beat Sonics

December 12th, 2006 by Jeramey Jannene · No Comments

It was nice to be able to finally watch a Bucks game on television and see the deer close out a game against the Sonics.

Mad love to Ruben Patterson, I’ve been high on his defense since we got him and he delivered big again tonight.  It would be nice if everyone else would pick up their effort.

NBA Dumping Microfiber Ball

December 11th, 2006 by Jeramey Jannene · 1 Comment

The NBA is going back to the old basketball after a plethora of issues and complaints with the new ball.

Will Mo Williams and Steve Blake return to form with the old ball?  God, I can only hope so.
